There is a picture of my furbaby Heidi. She was my birthday present and in my mind the perfect birthday present. Heidi is our first small dog: the husband was of a mind that only large dogs are fit for pets.

On the knitting front, finished the baby socks, so cute. I will take a picture and post it soon.

Today I have to knit the baby socks that I have started for a coworker's first grandchild. The socks are the cutest little socks that you have ever seen. They are knit with a pale pink Kroy yarn. I have found out that I am not a fan of Kroy yarn. It splits much too easily.

These are the socks that I knit last year. I love these socks. The yarn is a Debbie Bliss yarn.

I went on a yarn fast this year. So far, I have not bought any yarn but it is getting harder by the day not to buy some of the beautiful sock yarn that is out there. I have been knitting socks and more socks. Yesterday, I decided to finish some lace socks that I had started last year. They are quite beautiful but the counting of every row got tiring so into the UFO bag they went. I figure if I am good and finish the socks I can buy some yummy sock yarn.

The fingers are sore. The socks are knit. The contest has finished this leg. I am happy with the socks, the patterns is quite nice and the yarn colours set the pattern off. I am talking about the sockmadness contest. This was round four and it was a tough round. I had to rip out the socks just too may times. But in the end, they did get completed.

The next sock madness patterns is being released on Saturday morning. Now I know what my weekend will be all about. Knitting like a crazy woman. I did not know how fast one could knit a pair of socks until this contest. Hope that I can make a decent show.

Living in the north has it trials. One is that spring never seems to arrive. Here is is April the nineth and we still have snow on the fields. All I want is to see green grass and some flower bulbs sprouting out of the soil.

Tonight I am going to knit on some socks for my daughter in law. Lovely apple pie yarn. The pattern is downloaded from the net from sockbug, I think. Nice pattern, very easy to follow.

Finally received the Burda Knitting magazine that I won on Ebay. It is a older Burda knitting magazine that has 400 knitting charts. I was worth buying.

I have not knit a stitch today. I am too interested in finishing the Harry Potter book The Half Blood Prince.

I have 3 projects that are calling but I am not listening. I will have to pick up my needles tomorrow.

On the weather front, it was -14 this morning. When is spring coming.

April 1, 2007

I am going to try this again, I am having trouble getting a post on the blog.

In the world of knitting, I am knitting socks. I have joined the sockmadness 2007 and have made it to round 3. Next round is going to be harder to do as I have to work on the day the pattern is being released. I can only hope of the best.
April 1 today.

What is happening in the world of knitting and spinning? I am knitting the third round of sockmadness2007. The next pattern will be released on Wednesday. This round is going to be more difficult as I have to work. I am going to download some pictures as I now know how to do that.

On the personal front. It was the 2nd grandsons birthday yesterday. We went to the birthday party and fun was had my child and adult alike. I knit him some socks last month that don't fit him anymore. I have to make them longer. Hard to believe that his feet can grow so much in one month.
